Mazda unveils two Vision models at Japan Mobility Show 2025

Two new Mazda Vision models have made their world premiere at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, namely the Mazda Vision X-Coupe and the Vision X-Compact. Interestingly, the brand has stated that the "X" in the name is pronounced as "cross".

The Vision X-Coupe is a crossover coupe that embodies the further evolution of 'Kodo-Soul of Motion' design language. It is powered by a plug-in hybrid system, consisting of a turbo engine and a motor, that offers a maximum output of 503bhp. Mazda has also said that the car offers an electric range of 160km and a combined range of up to 800km.

The Vision X-Compact represents Mazda's vision for the future of smart mobility

The Vision X-Compact is described by Mazda as a model "designed to deepen the bond between people and cars through the fusion of a human sensory digital model and empathetic AI". Acting like a close companion, it is capable of engaging in natural conversation and suggesting destinations. Huh, we got a talking car before GTA 6. You heard it here first.

And that's not all from Mazda: The all-new CX-5 (European spec) is also on display for the first time to the general public. It features a spacious interior and a refined Kodo design, and is design on the new Mazda E/E Architecture+ electronic platform.
