McLaren makes MP4-12C Spider announcment with a teaser

McLaren Automotive has furthered their sports car business with the announcement of the new McLaren MP4-12C Spider. To celebrate this announcment, an initial teaser photo has been released for the fans. The open-top version inherits much of the architecture of the original model. This includes the carbon fibre MonoCell chassis as well as the twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 engine that has been recently upgraded to produce 616bhp. McLaren have also tentatively revealed that the MP4-12C Spider will be capable of reaching speeds of 300km/h.
