Mercedes-Benz ends production of the SLR supercar

Over the past 5 years, Mercedes-Benz and McLaren has collaborated to produce 2000 units of the SLR supercar, inclusive of the special edition 722 Coupe and Convertible versions, as well as the Stirling Moss edition.
The standard SLR was powered by a 5.5-litre V8 supercharged engine that produced 626bhp, while the 722 and Stirling Moss editions had a power output of 650bhp. The special editions could go from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of 350km/h.
