Mercedes-Benz Museum welcomes its 13 millionth visitor

The Mercedes-Benz Museum has seen its 13 millionth visitor. Hailing from Orleans, France, Frederic Atoun visited the museum on 12 September 2024 together with his son Victor.
He was welcomed by Museum Director Bettina Haussmann and after making an entry into to the museum's VIP visitor's book, the two were invited to take a seat in the Mercedes-Benz 500 K Spezial-Roadster from 1936 on display in room Legend 3: Times of Change - Diesel and Supercharger for commemorative photos.
Mercedes-Benz states that its museum saw a 16% increase in visitors in the summer months of 2024 compared to the same period of 2023. The proportion of international visitors to the museum was around 65% in the summer 2024, a number which Mercedes-Benz states was enhanced by people visiting Stuttgart to enjoy the European football championship 2024. Most of the foreign visitors at the museum are said to originate from France and China.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum hosts a total of 160 vehicles and a total of 1,500 other exhibits as part of its permanent exhibition, spanning the invention of the automobile in 1886 and stretching into the future.
