Mercedes-Benz has revealed a new CLE Coupe.
At 4,850mm long and 1,860mm wide, and with a wheelbase of 2,865mm, the new coupe sits between the C-Class and the new E-Class Sedans size-wise.
As with the four-door coupes from Mercedes-Benz, this CLE Coupe comes with a forward leaning 'shark nose' front. This front of the CLE Coupe houses slim LED head lights, and a radiator grille that sports a single gloss black louvre finished with chrome trim and housing the Mercedes central star. Power domes on the bonnet give the CLE visual muscularity.
At the rear, the car's taillights are joined by a dark red design element, which pairs with a chrome strip on the bumper to give the car visual width.
Step inside the Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe and you'll find a 12.3-inch digital instrument display paired with an 11.9-inch central infotainment screen, which should be familiar to those coming from the C-Class Sedan. The cabin of the coupe also comes with a 64-colour ambient lighting system, although customers may opt for the optional Ambient Lighting Plus package, which adds an additional light band that sweeps along the lower edge of the instrument panel to the air-conditioning vents on each side.
New to the CLE Coupe here are a pair of multi-contour front seats, said to be specially designed for the model. These seats are heated and feature an electro-pneumatic four-way lumbar support as standard, although seat climate control and a seven-zone massage function are available with the optional Energising Plus package.
The Mercedes-Benz CLE-Coupe is being launched with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that develops 201bhp and 320Nm of torque, allowing it to complete the century sprint in 7.4 seconds. Customers will also be able to opt for the CLE300, which comes with a 255bhp 2.0-litre engine, or the CLE450 which comes with a 375bhp 3.0-litre six-cylinder that will complete the same sprint in 4.4 seconds. All engine options come paired with mild hybrid technology, as well as a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The market launch of the CLE Coupe will start in Europe come November 2023, while market launch of the CLE Cabriolet is scheduled for 2024.
