MG Singapore teases launch of MG4 alongside another new EV

In a series of Instagram posts over the past four days, MG Singapore has teased the local launch of a "bold new duo electric vehicles" from the marque - even as the country gears up towards its first Motorshow in more than two years.
Using the caption mentioned above, the first image was released three days ago, cryptically showing an unidentified car under wraps.
But two other posts have followed in the days since, both of which have pointed to the arrival of the all new MG4 EV. The most recent one is most explicit in visual and textual reference, stating, "Witness the electrifying power of 4… Stay tuned 4 more!" As with most press photos you might have already seen, the car in the images is decked out in Volcano Orange.
When it arrives, the MG4 will mark the first bespoke EV from SAIC-owned MG on our shores. Also the first model to be based on the firm's Modular Scalable Platform, the hatchback (that's how MG's U.K. site refers to it) will be offered with rear-wheel drive, and apparently boasts a WLTP-rated range of up to 452km in the variant with the longest range.
Details are still scant (as of press time) on what exactly the other half of the 'bold new duo' is, but it's worth noting that MG's two other locally-available EVs - the ZS EV and 5 EV - have both already received significant facelifts abroad.
(Update: Shortly after this article was first published, MG Singapore updated its Instagram page once more, confirming that the facelifted ZS EV is destined for our shores.)
