Mitsubishi Evoism revealed

Magazines might have been harping on the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X on their covers for quite a while, but the car hasn't been officially launched, at least till last Saturday™
Both Evo X manual and SST variants were launched at the East Entrance of the decommissioned National Stadium, the area was a grand exhibition of cars on display, a majestic stage and a demonstration area. Hosts Class 95 Jean Danker and Glenn Ong enhanced the party atmosphere.
Despite the clash with the Chingay Parade -which had an F1 race car on display- the party had a pretty decent turnout. An approximately 500-strong crowd of Evo fanatics gathered to witness the highlight of the night - a stunt demonstration by Group N Rally driver Katsuhiko Taguchi.
Here for the third time in Singapore, the 2007 Asia Pacific Rally Champion wowed the crowd with daredevil drifts and donuts in the Evo X. As the saying goes "Good things are worth waiting for." Ironically, his performance was over in a minute after a 2-hour long wait, while the rest of the night was a joyride for the 30 or so lucky winners of the 'Evo Unscramble' contest on http://www.evoX.com.sg

Overshadowing all that were local and pretty and overwhelming the crowds with their presence, they drew lots of attention, or maybe even more than the Evo X in their revealing, sexy outfits.
The party was open to public and free for all, but unfortunately, but of course - an entry fee was eventually imposed for some at the end of the night in the form of a 30-dollar parking fine!
