BMW has recently launched the new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics - a compact executive sedan aimed at providing lower fuel consumption thanks to lightweight engineering and renowned Efficient Dynamics technologies.

Married to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the 320i accomplishes the benchmark century sprint in 7.6 seconds and continues to climb to 230km/h.
The standard fit Efficient Dynamics measures are complemented, on this model, by an optimised engine management system, better aerodynamics with a lowered chassis by 10mm, reduced rolling resistance and a default ECO PRO mode.
ECO PRO ensures the car is best suited for maximum efficiency, from pedal recognition to gear recognition while heating and air conditioning strategy is adapted intelligently. This results in an average fuel consumption of 18.5km/L (5.4L/100km) and CO2 emissions of just 127g/km.
As components of the BMW EfficientDynamics technology lineup, the auto start-stop function, brake energy regeneration, and need based operation of ancillary components also play their part in reducing fuel consumption.
The use of lightweight materials from the body, engine and the suspension, play a significant role in reducing the weight of the new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics while not compromising on structural strength and integrity. The BMW 320i EfficientDynamics comes standard with 16-inch light alloy wheels in streamline style with run-flat tyres, multi-function sport leather steering wheel, comfort access, and among others, park distance control.
The new BMW 320i EfficientDynamics is currently on sale at $194,800 (at press time) and available for viewing at Performance Motors' showroom.
