Bentley has revealed the first images of a new, fourth generation Continental GT.
The firm has confirmed that this new Continental will make use of is new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, set to deliver a total of 771bhp alongside an impressive 1,000Nm of torque, combined with an 80km electric-only range.
That's not too far from the 804bhp and 1,420Nm of torque that the AMG-SL63 S E Performance can offer, although AMG's grand tourer admittedly only offers an electric-only range of just 13km.
Still, these numbers are enough for Bentley to state that the new Continental will be its most powerful and dynamically capable road car yet. Aiding affairs on the handling front are technologies including all-wheel steering, an electronic limited slip differential, a 48V active anti-roll control system and the use of dual-valve dampers. You'll also notice that the camouflaged car in the photos sports new head lights that look like they will sport an extended LED element not unlike those that are utilised on the Batur.
The Continental GT has seen Bentley breaking speed records and winning championships and endurance races around the world. The model is said to be the firm's second most popular model behind the Bentayga, accounting for one in every three cars the firm sells. Bentley states that it is set to build the 100,000th examples of the Continental come early 2025.
