NIO open 30th battery swap station in Europe

NIO has opened two new Power Swap Stations in Malmo and Arlandastad, Sweden, bringing its total count of the battery swapping stations to a total of 30 across five European markets.
NIO states that it operates a total of 2,217 such stations worldwide. Spread across a total of six markets, these stations have already provided a total of 33 million battery swaps to NIO users. The two new stations in Sweden are said to be able to perform up to 408 battery swaps a day and can store up to 21 batteries.
NIO has also signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group to carry out comprehensive cooperation in fields including battery standardisation, battery swapping technology, as well battery swapping network expansion.
Both parties are also et to establish an efficient battery asset management mechanism, build a unified battery swap operation, and develop battery swappable vehicles compatible with each other's battery swap systems.
