Nismo reveals 2010 Motorsports programs

The racing program, focused around the award winning GT-R, that in road trim claimed a fastest ever Nurburgring lap for a production car, aims to showcase Nissan's commitment to designing and delivering cars that embody passion for performance and the joy of driving. Having already won the championship in its debut season - 2008 - and scored 4 victories in the 2009 SUPER GT Series GT 500 class.
This year, Nissan will be represented by a trio of GT-R racers to make a serious assault to reclaim the championship. The R35 model on a newly developed 3.4 litre engine (VRH34Aa) will take part in the GT500 class of the SUPER GT series with development and technical support from NISMO.
The lead Nissan NISMO team features former Super GT champion Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer who will race in a MOTUL AUTECH GT-R. Nissan Support teams include; TEAM IMPUL, featuring Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli in a Calsonic IMPUL GT-R, and KONDO RACING with Joao Paolo de Oliveira and Hironobu Yasuda in an ADVAN KONDO GT-R.

Teams are made up of; SUMO POWER GT, SWISS RACING TEAM, Max Nilsson and one more to be confirmed soon. SUMO POWER GT is a new team established this year in the U.K. under team principal James Rumsey, while SWISS RACING TEAM:, established in 2000 in Switzerland and partnered with Jetalliance Racing and K plus K Motorsport, has won seven times in the GT1 class since 2007.
Additionally, Nissan will further support grassroots activities through scholarship program and private teams entries. These support programs are; Nissan Driver Development Program (NDDP), Formula Challenge Japan (FCJ) and China Touring Car Championship (CTCC).
