Opel Astra ecoFlex offers more efficiency

The new Astra ecoFlex features an optimized ECU, and an improved exhaust gas recirculation module (EGR), all of which help improve the overall efficiency of the car. There is also the engine start/stop system, which is available as an option.

The biggest addition, however, is the new active aero front grille shutter, which closes at high speeds to improve aerodynamics. The grille channels more air towards the engine at slow speeds for improved cooling and closes at higher speeds to smoothen the airflow around the fascia. Improved aerodynamics under the car complements the aero grille.

All models of the Astra ecoFlex are powered 1.3-litre CDTI diesel engine that produces 94bhp and 190Nm of torque, with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. There is also a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) fitted to the exhaust to further reduce emissions.
