Opel has unveiled a dramatically updated Corsa.
The supermini now sports the firm's Vizor brand face that has been applied to vehicles including the Grandland, the Mokka, and the Mokka-e, so the chrome trim across the grille has been abandoned for a clean and sleek singular black item that also integrates the head lights at either side.
The Opel Corsa now gets its model name spelt out across the width of its tailgate, a touch first seen on the Corsa-e Anniversary Edition These head lights now get a total of 14 instead of eight individually controllable LED elements, allowing the system to direct its illumination onto the road and away from other road users more precisely than before.
The air inlets at either side of the car have been enlarged, giving the car a more planted stance on the road. And at the rear, the Corsa also now gets the 'Corsa' nameplate spelt out across the width of its tailgate.
The car's cabin has also been detoxed of distracting elements, so a clean dashboard now features, housing 10-inch colour touchscreen that pairs with a digital cockpit, with processing power delivered via a new Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible smartphones will now be able to connect to the multimedia systems and get recharged wirelessly in this Opel Corsa.
Those looking for all-electric options will still be able to opt for a 134bhp drivetrain, which now gets an improved range of 357km, 20km more than before. A new 154bhp variant is also offered, which comes with a WLTP 402km range. Opel states that the Corsa Electric can be charged to 80% capacity via a fast charger after just 30 minutes of charging time.
Those looking for petrol power will also be able to opt for a 99bhp or a 134bhp engine, which is said to pair with a new dual-clutch transmission. These engines will come equipped with 48V mild hybrid technology.
