Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer shows its face before official debut
25 Aug 2013|4,817 views
OPC stands for Opel Performance Center and they adorn performance versions of the Corsa, Astra and Insignia. The latter is undergoing a refresh and is expected to debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, but the wait is not that long as intrepid spy photographers from Autoblog have caught it in the flesh outside an Opel facility in Germany.
Spied here completely undisguised in Sports Tourer form, the Insignia has had a few nips and tucks performed, but fans should be more intrigued to see what it has under the hood.
The current model packs a 2.8-litre twin-turbo V6 driving 325bhp to all four wheels, but rumours suggest that the OPC could have as much as 400bhp up its sleeve.
That would make the Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer one heck of a sleeper - especially in wagon form.
