Peugeot has announced that it is set to reveal new 'Long Range' variants of its E-3008 and E-5008 at the 2024 Paris Motor Show.
Peugeot states that the new variants of the cars will continue to offer the same amount of cabin and boot space as the Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 mild hybrid and plug-in hybrids, despite making use of a battery that is now 15mm thicker, thanks to the efficient design of the STLA Medium platform that underpins both cars.
The new 96.9kWh battery will allow the Peugeot E-3008 230 Long Range to offer a WLTP range of 700km. Also now improved is peak charging power, which now stands at 160kW, allowing the car to go from a 20% to 80% state-of-charge with just 27 minutes of charging.
The Peugeot E-5008 230 Long Range will also make use of this battery, allowing the SUV to offer a WLTP range of 668km. Also facilitating this new charging speed in both cars is a revised battery pre-conditioning system.
Both cars will be manufactured in Sochaux, France, and will get batteries produced at the Automotive Cells Company gigafactory in Douvrin, France.
