Peugeot has announced that it will be updating its LANDTREK pickup, which first launched in 2020, and is sold in around 40 countries, mostly in Africa, the Middle East, and South America.
It is offered in three basic configurations (cabin, single cabin, double cabin chassis) and two variants (professional and multi-purpose use). Measurement-wise, the double cabin version has a length of 5,330mm, while the single cabin version is 5,390mm long. Both versions have a width of 1,920mm.
The LANDTREK's exterior design prioritises efficiency and strength with a reinforced lower front section, and also features a remodelled vertical grille equipped with LED daytime running lights. New PEUGEOT brand lettering adorns the rear cargo door, in between the 3D effect LED rear lights.
As for its interior, its modern dashboard design revolves around a console and 10-inch HD touchscreen, with a choice of two single front seats with a central armrest or a Multiflex three-seater bench seat. A spacious cabin offers 1,550mm of shoulder width in the second row with minimum 50mm of leg room.
It is powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder Multijet engine delivering 203bhp and 450Nm of torque, which can be combined with the new EAT8 eight-speed automatic gearbox. A six-speed manual transmission is also available with this new engine.
The LANDTREK has a new permanent four-wheel drive transmission, electric power steering and parking brake for optimum comfort, and also offers four diving modes: Normal, Sport, Snow, and Sand. It is also purported to offer the most spacious cargo bed in the segment, with a width of 1,220mm between its wheel arches.
