Automobili Pininfarina has announced that it will be presenting a special edition of the already mighty exclusive Battista at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Called the Battista Edizione Nino Farina, the special edition car will be limited to just five examples, and is said to be inspired by Nino Farina, the first ever Formula One world champion and nephew of design icon Battista 'Pinin' Farina.
Each example of the special car comes with a bespoke aluminium passenger door plate, anodised in black with one of five unique designs, and each car is said to mark a special milestone in Nino Farina's life, from his date and place of birth to his 1950 Formula One victory.
The car will be making its dynamic debut at Goodwood, which is just a few hundred metres from the Goodwood Circuit, where Nino drove to victory in the 1951 Goodwood Trophy (a non-championship Formula One race).
The Battista Edizione Nino Farina will come finished in Rosso Nino - a deep and rich red hue - that is complemented by a special Bianco Sestriere and Iconica Blu livery on the lower body.
These accent colours also extend to the pinstripe on the door mirrors and underside of the rear wing, which sports a laurel wreath graphic. The cars also come with a large '01' graphic in Bianco Sestriere, which appears on the rear panel behind the door.
The cars will additionally get a carbon fibre front splitter, side blades and rear diffuser, alongside a Goccia roof and black brake callipers and centre lock rings. 10-spoke forged aluminium wheels in a Satin Gold finish further identify the special edition cars.
The cabin of the Battista Edizione Nino Farina comes in a two-tone theme, with the driver's seat upholstery trimmed from black sustainable leather and featuring an embroidered laurel wreath and '01' graphic in gold on its headrest. The passenger seat, meanwhile, comes upholstered in contrasting beige and black Alcantara, and features the Pininfarina logo finished in red.
The Battista Edizione Nino Farina is powered by the same state-of-the-art powertrain that powers the regular Battista. This utilises a 120kWh lithium-ion battery that sends power to four independent high-performance electric motors, allowing the car to deliver a total power output of 1,877bhp.
