04 Jul 2023|135 views
Polestar has signed an agreement with Tesla that will see it adopting the North American Charging Standard (NACS) in North America, following similar moves made by General Motors, Ford, and Volvo.
Polestar states that it plans to have all new Polestar vehicles sold in North America to come equipped with the NACS charging port by default, opening Tesla's 12,000-point network to Polestar customers in the U.S.A and Canada.
Polestar will additionally offer adapters for existing Polestar drivers to gain access to the Supercharger network come mid-2024, while new NACS-equipped Polestar vehicles will come with a Combined Charging System adapter to maintain compatibility with the existing public fast charging infrastructure in North America.
