Porsche has expanded its plug-in hybrid lineup for the Cayenne with the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid.
The new car offers those looking for plug-in hybrid power a balance of driving dynamics, comfort, and efficiency, and stands above the 464bhp Cayenne E-Hybrid but below the monstrously powerful Turbo E-Hybrid.
The Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid is also available as a coupe SUV, and utilises a 349bhp 3.0-litre V6 engine paired with a 174bhp electric motor to deliver a combined system output of 512bhp and a maximum system torque of 750Nm.
This output allows the Cayenne S E-Hybrid to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 4.7 seconds, and to reach a top speed of 263km/h. The car also utilises a 25.9kWh battery that allows an electric-only range of 90km. This battery can be charged at up to 11kW, which will see a full charge completed in two hours and 30 minutes.
On the exterior, the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid comes with 20-inch wheels as standard, while two twin tailpipes in brushed stainless-steel feature at the rear. The Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid comes with the Silver exterior package, while the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe comes with the Black exterior package.
The Cayenne S E-Hybrid also comes with adaptive air suspension as standard. This system utilises two-chamber, two-valve technology that enables a particularly wide spectrum of spring rates, allowing the SUV to deliver both high comfort and high performance during dynamic driving.
