Pregnant woman taken to hospital after tree fell on car

A tree along Orchard Road uprooted yesterday during the evening rush hour and fell on two cars. The fallen tree also blocked two of five lanes.
The tree also smashed a taxi's rear windscreen and damaged a red Ford Focus nearby. A crane arrived at around 8:30pm to remove the tree.
A pregnant woman had to be sent to the hospital by an ambulance. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said an ambulance was dispatched to the scene at 5:58pm, and reached at 6:03pm. A Chinese woman in her 30s, who is 11 weeks pregnant, was taken to the hospital with complains of giddiness and nausea. Paramedics on scene did not report injuries on her.
