Range Rover announces limited edition Evoque by Victoria Beckham

The Range Rover Evoque has received more than 100 international awards since its introduction in September 2011. The blockbuster CUV has also widened the customer base for Land Rover. Now Land Rover is offering an exclusive Special Edition Evoque created by collaborating with former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

"The design of the Range Rover Evoque has truly captured the hearts of customers worldwide. Working with Victoria, the intention was to create a Special Edition that extends its character in a new direction," explained Gerry McGovern, Director of Design, Land Rover.

Essential to the design is the hand-finished matte grey paint, with contrasting gloss black finishes on the roof, side, hood vents, wheel arches and wheels. Use of rose-gold accents are limited solely to this Special Edition and further underlines the bespoke nature of this vehicle. The rose gold is applied to the unique 20-inch glossy black forged alloy wheels and highlights the grille, which features a different bar design. The badges on the rear and the side vents also have the Evoque branding highlighted in rose gold.

The designer seats are finished in semi-aniline Vintage Tan leather with a hand-finished 'baseball' stitch detail, chosen by Victoria in reference to her husband, famed footballer David Beckham. The same leather is also used to cover the door inserts, armrests and central storage box lid, with a piano black veneer for the center console, bezels, door handles and air vents, a contrast to the matte exterior.  Rose gold is used again on the bezels of the center console with a dark finished aluminum is used on the uprights that frame the center console.

A four-piece Bespoke luggage is based on the Beckham’s own luggage range, clothed in hand stitched black leather. A hand stitched leather portfolio with rose-gold detailing contains a guide to the exclusive features of the car, and is co-branded Range Rover Evoque and signed by Victoria Beckham.

"I was very excited to be working with Land Rover as I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand. I've always driven a Range Rover, for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury. For me, you should feel luxury. My brand is known for quality and workmanship and so is Land Rover," added Victoria Beckham. Victoria Beckham also explained she did a lot of research, and wanted everyone who gets into the car to feel special and empowered by its quality and craftsmanship.

Land Rover Director of Design, Gerry McGovern said, "Working with Victoria in our design studio at Gaydon certainly created a buzz within the team. At the first meeting, Victoria was wearing dark clothes with a man’s rose gold watch. I was struck by the juxtaposition of the masculine watch on a very elegant, feminine wrist. We both agreed it was the ideal way to introduce a softer touch to this bold, assertive exterior colour scheme."

The Range Rover Evoque Special Edition with Victoria Beckham is limited to a maximum of 200 units worldwide.
