Renault has revealed its new Master light commercial vehicle.
The car gets the firm's new logo at the front, alongside extra large full LED head lights that sit in a C-shaped array around the grille. It also features a U-shaped insert below its grille, which comes in grainy black, although higher trim vehicles will have this insert in the exterior body colour.
At the rear, the van continues to sport an asymmetrical rear window - a feature typical of the model line - while the rear lights continue to sport the C-shaped pattern of the lights at the front. This rear section will offer a maximum payload capacity of 1,625kg.
Renault states that the Master now sports a shorter bonnet, while the wing mirrors, air intake ducts in the bumper, and the roofline of the van have also all been streamlined for raised aerodynamic efficiency.
In the cabin, the Renault Master gets an S-shaped dashboard that houses a 10-inch screen. The van also sports a steering wheel from the firm's passenger vehicle range, which is adjustable for height and reach.
The van offers a total of 135 litres of storage space in this cabin, spread across its dashboard, side cupholders, cab-ceiling, and the two storage tiers in the doors. The middle seat of the Renault Master can also be folded down, allowing it to transform into a desk, while its base also houses a slot to store a laptop. The Renault Master is available with individual seats, or three types of benches.
Renault is offering the vehicle with four diesel powertrains, delivering 104, 128, 148, or 168bhp. These engines can be paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, or a new, nine-speed automatic transmission.
An all-electric drivetrain is also available for the Renault Master, which delivers 141bhp and 300Nm of torque. This drivetrain utilises an 87kWh battery, which allows the vehicle to deliver a WLTP range of more than 410km.
Renault states that first customer deliveries of the Master will start in September 2024, however, it will be taking in pre-orders for the vehicle from early 2024.
