Road closures for state funeral of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew

From 25^th March 2015 to 28^th March 2015, the body of the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew will lie in state at Parliament House, where the public can pay their respects between 10:00am and 8:00pm daily.

Lanes and roads around Parliament House will be closed to vehicular traffic at various times starting from 8:30am on Wednesday until 8:00pm on Sunday, the Traffic Police said on Monday. The affected stretches are on Fullerton Road, Parliament Place, Saint Andrew's Road, Connaught Drive and North Bridge Road.

The Traffic Police advised motorists to plan their route to take into account traffic delays along Hill Street, High Street and North Bridge Road. People going to Parliament House should take public transport, as the carpark will be closed to all vehicles except those with authorised labels.

On Wednesday, a gun carriage will carry Mr. Lee's coffin from Istana to Parliament House. Orchard Road (between Buyong Road and Selegie Road), Bras Basah Road (between Selegie Road and North Bridge Road) and North Bridge Road (between Bras Basah Road and North Boat Quay) will be closed from 8:45am to 9:30am that morning.
