Rolls-Royce is seeing two changes to its senior leadership team, with Hans Wolf retiring from his role of Director of Manufacturing, and Director of Engineering Dr. Mihiar Ayoubi taking on new role of Senior Vice President within the BMW Group.
Hans first joined Rolls-Royce in 2018 and oversaw the launch of the Ghost and the Cullinan. He also took on the challenge of manufacturing the Spectre, the firm’s first all-electric vehicle. Hans' tenure at Rolls-Royce spanned a period that saw the firm achieving its highest-ever output. Hans is also said to have played a role in developing the plans for the expansion of the Goodwood plant announced in 2023.
Hans will be succeeded by Gunther Bohner, who has held a variety of senior manufacturing roles within BMW Group including General Manager and Director of Assembly at MINI plant Oxford.
Dr. Mihiar Ayoubi, meanwhile, led the Rolls-Royce engineering teams responsible for the Ghost, Cullinan and the Spectre, and also oversaw the specialist teams behind coach build projects including the Boat Tail and the Droptail. The drivetrain, battery, chassis, and control systems of the Spectre were also developed under Mihiar's leadership.
Dr. Mihiar will be succeeded by Dr. Bernhard Dressler, who previously led the project team for the Rolls-Royce Ghost.
