Rolls Royce to show off its Personalization Programme at Paris

Owning a Rolls Royce has always been the ultimate expression of wealth. However, if you're willing to spend an obscene amount of money for a car, why not just go ahead and have the headrests monogrammed with your initials?

That's the idea that Rolls Royce is trying to pitch at this year's Paris Motor Show.

Instead of unveiling a shiny new model, Rolls has elected to show off just how decadent their existing cars can be - starting with an extended wheelbase Phantom, trimmed in Mother of Pearl.

The Phantom is painted in a special Gunmetal metallic, and has Sunrise leather. It has dark coloured seat piping, with monogrammed headrests, and personalized tread plates which read: Mondial de l' Automobile Paris 2010. But, the neatest feature has to be the Mother of Pearl inlays on the door trim, instruments, control knobs and clock.

That's something that you just don't see™outside of Dubai.

Besides the bejewelled Phantom, Rolls also plans to display a Carrara White metallic Phantom Drophead Coupé, with a Hotspur Red leather interior, a Phantom Coupé, two Ghost's, and their Bespoke picnic set.
