Seat converts its motorsport mobile homes into vaccination centres
14 Jul 2021|879 views
Seat is supporting the roll out of COVID-19 vaccinations in the city of Barcelona.
Through the use of adapted motorhomes, more commonly seen at race circuits across Europe, Seat aims to accelerate the vaccination uptake for residents over 40 years of age and those in vulnerable situations who would otherwise not have access to the necessary healthcare.
In addition to the trucks, which will change location as required, Seat will also provide its healthcare personnel, who have extensive experience in administering the COVID-19 vaccine. To date, the team has administered more than 8,000 vaccine doses to members of the public on the Balearic Islands of Majorca, Minorca and Ibiza, as well as 20,000 to Seat's own workers.
At present, 91% of Seat employees have had at least one dose of the vaccine, and before August, all of them will receive their second.
