Singapore's leading used car dealers, workshops and aftermarket merchants were recently honoured over a night of celebration at PARKROYAL on Beach Road.

Singapore's automotive scene goes far beyond the gleaming new cars that take to our roads each year; it's also supported by the hundreds of used car dealers, workshops, and aftermarket merchants that tirelessly serve the needs of the potential car buyers and existing owners among us.

On Saturday evening (24 January 2026), leading names among this latter group were gathered at the Grand Ballroom of PARKROYAL on Beach Road, where Sgcarmart's Premium Dealers and Star Merchants of the year were celebrated and honoured on the first night of the company's 2026 Annual Awards.

The event saw approximately 350 guests - comprising award winners and distinguished partners - in attendance, with the evening kicking off with a bang as an LED lion dance troupe took to the stage alongside the God of Wealth to usher the new year in.

Clinched only by the top 3% of used car dealers in Singapore annually, the Premium Dealer award is extended to used car dealers that adhere to a strict combination of criteria, all of which are designed to attest to their market leadership.

Trusted names are also names that have made a lasting impact in the business, so Premium Dealers are required to have a track record of at least five years in the car trade, accompanied by an unblemished reputation, and clean complaint records.

Just as importantly, however, they are also required to consistently follow the advertising guidelines stipulated by Sgcarmart, and also boast significant sales volumes as proof of their market leadership.

Unsurprisingly, among the esteemed group of dealers that made the list this year were elite names that should be familiar with most Singaporean car buyers, including Car Times Automobile, SG Car Choice, Sime Darby Auto Selection, and Vin's Automotive Group. Also honoured during the evening were Auto Zoom Enterprise, Precise Auto Trading, Sphere Automobile and United Motoring, among others.

Notably, the roll of honour for dealers that have won the award for a decade (or more) continues to grow. Six names have made the list for 2026, including Autotrust Traders (10 years), Faster Auto Trading (11 years), 88 Motor Trading (12 years) and Lake View Credit (14 years). Sharing top honours for the longest-running winners are Mayfair Motoring and Republic Auto, who have each won the award for an impressive total of 15 times now.

As mentioned earlier, however, it wasn't just Singapore's leading used car dealers that took to the stage at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, but also the nation's playmakers in the automotive aftermarket space: Sgcarmart's Star Merchants. 

Awarded in recognition of their market leadership and service excellence, Sgcarmart's Star Merchants are assessed not just based on their glowing user ratings and reviews on the platform, but are also required to be among the platform's most popular names (in terms of page views). Furthermore, Star Merchants are judged on the attractiveness of their products and services, based on the number of enquiries they receive.

A total of 34 names were honoured for the year, with their range of services and products running the full gamut all the way from roadside assistance (awarded to Doctor Cars) to commercial vehicle rental (awarded to Skylink Holdings Limited). 

As with Sgcarmart's Premium Dealers, the winners' list here also includes merchants that have emerged as leaders in their fields for more than a decade running.

Max Polish LLP, for instance, nets its landmark 11th consecutive win in the 'Mobile Car Grooming' category; Green Star Spray Painting has now been awarded in the 'Auto Styling & Parts' category for 12 years running; while D Motorwerkz earns its 13th Star Merchant award in the category of 'Specialty Worshop - Hybrid Cars'. Meanwhile, Revol Carz Makeover (for 'Paint Protection') and Auto Image (for 'Upholstery - Seats & Tops') have won their 14th consecutive awards in 2026. 

Holding up a mirror to Singapore's ever-evolving automotive landscape, among the Star Merchants christened for 2026 as well was Esteem Performance Pte Ltd (Workshop), winning in the category of 'Specialty Workshop - EV Cars'. Also joining the winners' circle was Eco Sport Pte Ltd as this year's Promising New Establishment. 

Guests were also treated to a spectacular LED lion dance (with an appearance from cai shen ye himself!), as well as a show-stopping live set from The Mad Trio

The evening at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, naturally, was in no shortage of fun and entertainment outside of the awards themselves. 

Returning photobooth aside, guests were also treated to two lucky draw rounds that saw guests winning prizes including a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, a Dyson Supersonic Origin Hair Dryer, an Apple Watch SE 3, and even a 2D1N Hotel Stay in a Club Deluxe Room at PARKROYAL on Beach Road. One uber-lucky guest ultimately walked home with the grand draw prize: A 256GB iPhone 17 Pro.

In between the camera flashes and handing out of silverware (or should we say, glassware), a powerful dose of live music also rocked the hotel's Grand Ballroom, with The Mad Trio taking to the stage to belt out classic crowd favourites in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien. 

Speaking to guests at the dawn of the evening, CEO of Sgcarmart, Mr Shahrul Tahir, recounted the milestones (including the 2025 Sgcarmart CARnival, held at the Singapore Expo) and the deeper partnerships that had been forged through 2025, while giving slight teasers for what 2026 would have in store.
