Simon Cowell takes delivery of the first Mini eMastered

David Brown Automotive has revealed that its first customer to receive the Mini eMastered - a classic Mini converted to run on all-electric power - is none other than Simon Cowell.

Commenting on the vehicle, Cowell states, "This has always been my dream car. It was on my wish list; one day I wanted to have a classic Mini. Then I read about this company, and I thought, I've got to have one of those."

David Brown Automotive states that Cowell's Mini eMastered was originally a Mini Remastered, ordered from the firm in 2019. However, Cowell eventually decided to modernise his car further. David Brown Automotive thus fitted the car with a new, whisper-quiet 97bhp electric motor that produces 175Nm of torque. This motor comes powered by an 18.8kWh battery that gives the car a range of 177km.

All iterations of the Mini eMastered will also get this electric drivetrain, and will be hand-built from a strengthened and de-seamed donor shell. The car will also come with a modern and integrated infotainment system featuring Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Customers will also be offered an extensive array of bespoke options.
