Smart enters the Saudi Arabia market

Smart is expanding its presence in the Middle East with entry into the Saudi Arabian market through a strategic partnership with Juffali Automotive Company, an automotive distributor that represents Mercedes-Benz in the country. The two companies signed a general distribution agreement during the 2025 Chengdu Motor Show.

This now means Smart has expanded its global footprint to 39 markets across diverse regions including China, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Oceania, Latin America, and Africa.

The Smart #1 and Smart #3 will be available to Saudi consumers in 2026

Saudi Arabia presents a compelling opportunity for premium electric mobility, as its consumers have shown a strong affinity for German automotive design, particularly Mercedes-Benz's heritage of premium quality and reliability, creating an ideal foundation for Smart's entry.

The Smart #1, a compact SUV, and the Smart #3, a coupe-style SUV, will be available to Saudi consumers at Juffali showrooms across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam in 2026.
