Mercedes has released teaser pictures and details of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz Citan and its fully electric model variant, the eCitan.
From its striking design to a suite of safety and connectivity, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz Citan has the DNA that customers have come to expect of the brand. Despite a generous amount of space on offer, Mercedes' new small van boasts compact external dimensions, making it ideal for inner-city distribution operations.
Supported by radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras, the new Citan's driving assistance and parking systems observe its surroundings, and if necessary, issue warnings or assist the driver by intervening. As in the new generations of the Mercedes C-Class and S-Class, Active Lane Keeping Assist operates through steering intervention.
In addition to extensive ABS and ESP systems, the Citan is also equipped with Hill Start Assist, Crosswind Assist, the fatigue-warning system ATTENTION ASSIST, and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system as standard.
The van will be presented to the public for the first time on 25 August, via the Mercedes me media platform on Android and iOS.
