Subaru Impreza WRX updated for 2010

The new Impreza WRX will feature a wider body, with styling elements taken from the WRX STi model. The front and rear track have been widened by 1.5-inches, and there are larger fender flares to accentuate the width. New 17-inch wheels fit under the flares, and the car is now heavier by 15kg.

"The new wide-body designs mark another major step on the continuous evolution of the WRX to give driving enthusiasts an even more compelling all-wheel drive performance package," said Subaru executive Tom Doll.

The wider look is available for both the five-door hatchback and four-door sedan WRX models, and other changes include a new grille, redesigned headlights, and updated fog lamps. The interior features checkered carbon black upholstery with red stitching, while there has been no change to the engine, with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder Boxer unit still producing 265bhp and 331Nm of torque.
