Subaru Levorg tourer concept makes world premiere in Tokyo

The Levorg concept, by Subaru, will make its world premiere at the 43^rd Tokyo Motor Show on Wednesday, the 20^th of November. According to the Japanese marque, the concept hints at a new vehicle currently under development for market launch in domestic market of Japan in 2014. 

The name 'Levorg' is derived from a blend of the words 'Legacy', 'Revolution' and 'Touring'. Subaru believes the concept will blend the practicality of a tourer with the stylish design and feel of a sports car.

At the heart of the Levorg is an all new 1.6-litre horizontally-opposed Boxer engine with direct injection turbo (DIT) technology. Developed by Subaru, the engine is designed to offer smooth performance and greater environmental efficiency.  The new engine will also be on show on the Subaru motor show stand as a technology exhibit.

Along with the Levorg, a new Crossover 7 concept will also grace the event. The Crossover 7 is a seven-seat SUV designed to combine the rigours of urban family use with true off-road driving capability.
