The first DS World opens its doors in Shanghai, China

The first DS Store opened in Nanjing in June 2012. Nine months later, some 26 DS Stores are up and running in the country's main cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. And their number will rise to 70 by the end of the year, located in 55 cities. The network is continuing its momentum with the inauguration of the world's first DS World, in Shanghai.

The new flagship showcase, whose façade perfectly matches the atmosphere on Nanjing Road, is 100 percent dedicated to the DS line. The venue will plunge visitors in to a world informed by French-style luxury.

As they move through the consummately finished space, visitors will discover a lot more about the brand, including the brand's creativity with the Numéro 9 concept car, previewing the future of the DS line, the DS heritage in the shape of a DS23 Pallas, top-level technology with the record-setting DS3 WRC, refinement with the entire range (DS3, DS3 Cabrio, DS4 and DS5) and many more.

Frédéric Banzet, CEO of Citroen, said, "China is our priority market. In a few months' time, DS5 production will begin locally at the Shenzhen plant, which will also produce the upcoming DS models. Today, we are opening the first DS World in Shanghai, ahead of the DS World in Paris, which will open in the second half of 2013. This stands as proof of our commitment to this country, where we have now been present for over 20 years."
