Eurokars Supersports Pte Ltd and McLaren Singapore have officially introduced the brand new McLaren 765LT in Singapore.
Lighter, more powerful and with even higher levels of performance on both road and track, the new 765LT is the latest in a line of 'Longtail' McLarens, and is the most dynamically advanced and engaging LT model ever from McLaren Automotive.
Key to the 765LT's improved dynamic performance is a significant focus on reducing weight - the 765LT has a dry weight of 1,229kg, 80kg less than the 720S coupe. Weight saving has been achieved through an extensive application of advanced carbon fibre technologies on body components, including the front splitter and bumper, front floor, side skirts, rear bumper, rear diffuser and the larger 'Longtail' active rear wing. The 765LT also rides on new 10-spoke Ulta-Lightweight forged alloy wheels, wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres.
For the first time on a modern-day LT model, the side window glass thickness has been reduced. The windscreen is also thinner, and the glazed C-pillars and rear screen are constructed from motorsport-style polycarbonate, further helping to reduce weight. And, the 765LT also features a full-titanium quad-exit exhaust system. The exhaust system is 40% lighter than a comparable steel system, and the quad exhaust layout also increases ehxhaust volume and intensity, creating a sharper overall driving experience.
Powering the 765LT is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 755bhp and 800Nm of torque, making this the most powerful road-legal McLaren LT to date. 0-100km/h takes just 2.8 seconds, and throttle inputs and in-gear acceleration is up to 15% quicker than the 720S.
The 765LT also has significantly optimised aerodynamic elements to further enhance performance. The 5mm reduction in front ride height, 48mm longer nose, and an active rear wing that stretches an additional 9mm rearwards, helps to improve the overall aero efficiency of the car. The rear wing has a surface area 20% greater than on a 720S, and the newly elevated static position increases downforce levels even when the wing isn't deployed. The new design improves the car's downforce-to-drag ratio by 20% compared to the 720S.
The cockpit delivers an enticing blend of racecar efficiency and supercar luxury, with lightweight Alcantara trim used extensively in the cabin, standard lightweight, carbon fibre shelled racing seats, and a 8.0-inch Central Infotainment system that works in conjuction with the Folding Driver Display to provide an integrated driver information platform.
Of course, the interior can be extensively cutomised. Eight bespoke interior colour themes are available, and customers can also opt for soft-grain leather as well as a world-class audio system. The interior can also be specified with carbon fibre elements on the display surrounds, window switch surrounds, steering wheel clasp and Active Dynamics Panel surround.
The McLaren 765LT also offers an extensive range of customisation options catered for by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), including extensive carbon fibre application, a wide range of exterior paint finishes, high-performance upgrades including the Super-Lightweight Carbon Fibre Racing Seats and brakes found in the McLaren Senna, as well as the option of a MSO Defined roof scoop to provide additional cooling for the powertrain.
The new McLaren 765LT is limited to 765 units worldwide. Customers interested in ordering one should contact McLaren Singapore for further information.
