The new Peugeot 508 has arrived in Singapore, sporting a new energetic and expressive presence.
The car's height has been reduced - it now barely reaches 1,400mm - delivering a new coupe-like style.
At the front, the car gets the famed lion centred on its radiator grill. The vertical visual signature of the LED daytime running lights marks the 508 out as unmistakably Peugeot. These features also sit ahead of a lowered bonnet, designed to enhance the dynamism of the new 508.
And at the rear, the Peugeot 508 gets a glossy black horizontal strip and brand signature three-dimensional full LED rear lights. These lights, which are illuminated throughout the night and day with adaptive intensity, make the distinctive claws constantly visible.
A twin chrome exhaust, and 18-inch 'Hirone' two-toned diamond cut alloy wheels round off the design of the fastback.
The Peugeot 508 will be available in nine different colours, with four new colour options including Celebes Blue, Elixir Red, Ink Blue, and Pearl White.

Said cockpit pairs an 8.0-inch central high-definition touchscreen and 12.3-inch head-up display driver's insutrment unit, and offers a high degree of customisation.
The central touchscreen is incorporated into the instrument panel, at approximately the same height as the head-up display unit, and is accompanied by seven toggle switches resembling piano keys that are integrated into the panel's body, giving direct access to the main comfort features such as radio, air-conditioning and vehicle settings.
A drive mode selector in the centre console will allow the driver to choose between 'Eco', 'Normal', and 'Sports' driving modes.

Available locally solely in the highest 'GT' trim level, all 508s here will come with automatic levelling head lights, and LED rear lights with adaptive rear lightingblack head lining. The cabin meanwhile will get a black headliner as well as carbon-effect trimming and blue ambient lighting.
Lane Departure Warning, Speed Limit Information with Intelligent Speed Adaptation, and Peugeot's VisioPark 180° Reverse Camera round off the suite of safety systems.
The Peugeot 508 comes to Singapore with a 1.6-litre 178bhp PureTech engine that generates 250Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
