The Volvo EM90 is a living room on wheels

After revealing the EX30 all-electric crossover in June 2023, Volvo is now expanding its all-electric lineup further with the new EM90 MPV.
The all-electric people mover is said to have been designed to be a living room on the move, offering customers ultimate comfort and maximising their time spent travelling with Scandinavian details that offer a premium travel experience.
On the exterior, the EM90 retains the firm's iconic Thor's Hammer head lights. These head lights pair with an illuminated logo (the first for a Volvo) to give the EM90 a confident front.
Move to the rear, and you'll note the MPV gets an evolved form of the model's iconic vertical taillights, said to be inspired by the skyline of modern cities.
Powering the Volvo EM90 is a 116kWh battery that animates a 268bhp electric motor. This output allows the MPV to reach 100km/h in 8.3 seconds. Volvo states that the EM90 can deliver a China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle range of 738km.
With cabin comfort at such a high priority, the EM90 also gets dual-chamber air suspension and silent tyres. These mean those seated within will be able to get the most out of the car's 21-speaker Bowers and Wilkins premium sound system.
The car also comes with a 15.4-inch infotainment system that will not only receive over-the-air updates, but also houses a voice assistant system that is visualised in a refreshed Volvo avatar inspired by the beautiful Scandinavian nature.
An additional, high-definition 15.6-inch screen is also mounted on the roof of the Volvo EM90, offering rear passengers entertainment, or supporting a business video meeting with a camera if needed.
The Volvo EM90 is now available for pre-orders for customers in China.
