Toyota has revealed its new C-HR+, an all-new BEV coupe-SUV model that is set to be the brand's new competitor at the heart of Europe's vital C-SUV BEV market.
Unequivocally an individual model in its own right, the C-HR+ is built on Toyota's dedicated e-TNGA BEV philosophy and presents a simple yet appealing appearance. Its front bumper, grille, and headlight designs are all exclusive to the model, while its coupe-crossover silhouette is both distinctive and aero-efficient.
Inside, ambient lighting adds a touch of class to its modern and streamlined interior. An overall length of 4,520mm and an extended wheelbase (2,750mm) offers more cabin space, generous headroom and a 900mm front-rear couple distance, alongside 416 litres of boot space. Equipment-wise, the C-HR+ offers a 14-inch multimedia display as standard, two wireless smartphone chargers and rear cabin USB ports, rear cabin air conditioning controls, and a panoramic roof allowing for natural light.
Toyota will offer two different battery options for the C-HR+: A 57.7kWh unit will be exclusive to the FWD model, while a higher capacity 77kWh battery will be available for both front and AWD powertrains. It also offers a maximum WLTP range of up to 600km depending on grade and powertrain.
The AWD version (77kWh) is expected to offer an output of 252kW (338bhp) and a century sprint timing of 5.2 seconds. The FWD model with the 57.7kWh battery will offer an output of 123kW (165bhp), whilst the 77kWh battery variant (FWD) increases the output to 165kW (221bhp).
It also sports a new battery pre-conditioning feature that will improve charging performance in most conditions and can be operated automatically or manually. An 11kW onboard charger is provided as standard, with a 22kW unit provided from High grade. Fast DC charging can achieve speeds of up to 150kW. Further benefits are gained from an energy-saving heat pump for the air conditioning system and heated seats, steering wheel, and windscreen.
The Toyota C-HR+ is scheduled for launch in selected European markets in late 2025, with a full rollout to all European markets starting in 2026.
