Toyota has unveiled its new Camry for the U.S.A market, and it looks sleeker and sportier than before.
This new model has been designed by Toyota's CALTY Newport Beach, California and Ann Arbor, Michigan studios. The car now gets a hammerhead front fascia, alongside slim head lights that are visually similar to those now utilised on the Toyota Prius.
Higher grade models offered in the U.S.A come complete with features including a colour-matched front grille, rear diffuser, dual-tip exhaust, and a rear lip spoiler.
In the cabin, the Toyota Camry is offered with either Boulder or Black SofTex-trimmed seats that feature sporty bold white accents. Higher grade models will come with a leather-trimmed interior in either Black with blue lined perforations, or Cockpit Red. Microfiber-trimmed seats will also be available in the Camry in Light Grey or Black for the higher-end 'XLE' grade models.
Toyota states that these seats get new cushions with an altered shape and density for greater overall comfort. Higher-end grades of the Camry will also come as standard with front-side acoustic laminated glass to better reduce wind noise.
The cabin of the Toyota Camry comes with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, as well as new seats that are more comfortable than before
The cabin of the Toyota Camry also now comes with a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. However, high-grade models will come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. A 10-inch head-up display will also be available as an added option.
These will pair with the Toyota Audio Multimedia System that includes a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen display, or an available 12.3-inch screen. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and comes with a wireless smartphone charging pad as standard.
Powering this new Toyota Camry is the firm's fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System, which utilises a 2.5-litre engine alongside lighter and more compact electric motors to produce a total of 229bhp when paired with Toyota's Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system. This hybrid system will develop a system total of 222bhp on front-wheel drive examples of the Camry.
The new Toyota Camry is expected to arrive in dealerships across the U.S.A come early 2024.
