Toyota is updating the Corolla Cross for the 2026 model year, which continues to be built on the TNGA-C platform, and will be offered with two powertrain choices: Either as a hybrid or as pure international combustion engine (ICE).
With a new front fascia fronting all models, both the hybrid and ICE iterations will be sold with three trims each in the American market.
The Hybrid model will be available in three trims: S, SE, and XSE, which will all be equipped with AWD as standard. Exterior features include a new front grille and bumper combination. Exclusive to the Hybrid SE and XSE trims is a new Cavalry Blue exterior paint colour, as well as the Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof two-tone colour scheme.
Equipped with a 2.0-litre engine and three electric motors, the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid offers a combined output of 193bhp and a century sprint timing of eight seconds.
The ICE model is also offered in three trims: L, LE, and XLE, with all three available in FWD or AWD. Like the Hybrid model, Cavalry Blue is also offered on the ICE LE and XLE trims.
Like the Hybrid version, the 2026 Corolla Cross ICE model also comes with a 2.0-litre engine, delivering an output of 167bhp.
Inside, the 2026 Corolla Cross' spacious interior offers many comforts that modern drivers expect. The ICE L and LE; and the Hybrid S and SE trims come with durable fabric-trimmed seating in a variety of colours. In addition, a Portobello interior colour is also available on the ICE XLE trim.
Other interior features also include a standard 8.0-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen (10.5-inch as standard on the ICE XLE and Hybrid XSE trims) and a seven-inch Multi Information Display (MID) or 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
At the rear, 60:40-split folding rear seats come as standard on all grades. For convenient access to the rear cargo area, the 2026 Corolla Cross has a powered tailgate with height adjustability. Other accessories include all-weather floor mats, a roof rack with crossbars, and an activity mount for carrying items such as bicycles.
All trims will also be equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance technologies, as well as the brand's signature STAR Safety System.
Assembled within the country for the U.S.A market, the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross is expected to start arriving at Toyota U.S.A dealerships later in 2025, with its pricing to be announced closer to its launch. There is no news yet on when (or if) the facelifted car will arrive in Singapore.
