Toyota introduces the iQ in America...under a different name

Only a few years ago, Toyota could've put its name on a shopping trolley™and it would've sold several hundred thousand units.
But not anymore.
Luckily, Toyota introduced the Scion brand several years ago. The idea was to take funky little compacts like the Toyota Urban Cruiser, call it a Scion xB, then offer dealer add-on's like wheels, loud stereos, and flashy paint.
America's youth have embraced the Scion brand but not as whole-heartedly as Toyota was hoping.
However, a lot of things have changed since the Scion brand was introduced, particularly Toyota's reputation.
Since Scion branded cars have managed to escape most of the recalls, Toyota decided to introduce Americans to its tiny little iQ, as the Scion iQ.
The pint-sized people mover will début early next year as a 2011 model. No doubt, Scion dealers are already preparing several hideous body kits as we speak.
