Toyota invests $3.5 billion in battery manufacturing plant

Toyota certainly is serious about its electric future. The Japanese giant has announced an additional investment of $2.5 billion in its newest Toyota Battery Manufacturing in North Carolina, U.S.A. This investment will see increased support to battery electric vehicle battery production, adding 350 jobs at the same time.
This move is part of the $98 billion electrification effort which the Toyota Motor Corporation has announced last year.
