Toyota launches new Hilux Champ in Thailand

Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., Toyota's vehicle sales and production company in Thailand, have opened orders for the new Toyota Hilux Champ, a bare-bones pickup truck in Thailand.
The model, also called the IMV 0, is the first of a new IMV series comprising of pickup trucks, minivans, and SUVs that are said to have been developed under the leadership of Akio Toyoda, then Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Region and current Chairman of the Board.
Toyota states that this Hilux Champ has been designed to be an affordable pickup truck, with its development led by Thai engineers and after thorough research on user lifestyles.
The pickup is being launched with a total of eight grades, intended to cater to a wide variety of business use cases. It is additionally available as either a short or long-wheelbase variant, and will be offered with either a 2.0-litre petrol engine, a 2.7-litre petrol engine, or a 2.4-litre diesel engine.
The pickup comes with a deck that has bolt holes at various locations so customers can easily attach their own accessories to the vehicle. Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. states that it will also offer customers information on more than 100 accessory manufacturers to facilitate easy personalisation. A flat deck variant of the pickup is also available.
