Toyota Prius modified by Tommy Kaira

The Japanese tuning house has given the Prius hybrid a set of styling and performance enhancements, and the car is expected to be officially unveiled at the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon, which will be held next month.

On the outside, the Prius gets a set of new alloy wheels, available in either 16 or 18-inch sizes. There is also an aggressive aero kit with carbon fibre parts, which can be painted either in matte black, or with the body colour of the car.

The body kit consists of parts such as a front spoiler, grille trim, front bumper decorative trim, side skirts, roof spoiler and a rear apron with an integrated diffuser that houses four tail pipes. Other available upgrades include illuminated Toyota logos, a sports steering wheel, specific floor mats, and HID and LED lights.

Tommy Kaira has also given the Prius hybrid a few minor performance modifications, which include a new brake system, a sports suspension system that lowers the car’s height, as well as a new sports exhaust system.
