Toyota has launched the RAV4 Hybrid here in Singapore.
The car arrives here with the strong and chiseled exterior we have already seen in the regular RAV4, although there are new 18-inch rims, as well as a refreshed LED head lights to set it apart.
The LED head lights on the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid have been refreshed to differentiate it from the petrol-only SUV Power for the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is provided by the firm's 2.5-litre Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine, assisted here by electric power to produce a total system output of 212bhp. The torque output of the engine and the electric motors are listed at 221Nm and 202Nm respectively. And all this power is put to the road here via an eCVT.
Toyota states that this drivetrain will bring the SUV to 100km/h from a standstill in just 8.1 seconds. Claimed fuel economy meanwhile, stands at 21.2km/L.
The SUV is also built atop the Toyota TNGA-K platform. A high-strength unibody chassis, it allows the RAV4 Hybrid to not only offer a high level of spaciousness for all passengers, but also a sizable 542-litre boot, making it an ideal vehicle for family road trips and getaways.
The Toyota RAV4 also gets a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen And for those long drives, the SUV also comes with an electrochromic rear view mirror, which utilises light sensors and gel technology to reduce glare and improve visibility.
In the cabin, a 7.0-inch digital driver's instrument cluster will offer all necessary driving information, while entertainment is catered for via a 9.0-inch centrally mounted infotainment touchscreen, featuring Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. A wireless charger will also be offered in the cabin.
The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid will also arrive here with the Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes safety and driver assistance features including pre-collision detection with pedestrian and cyclist detection, dynamic cruise control, and lane departure alert, amongst others.
