Toyota sedan in Yishun damaged by potted plant

According to The Straits Times, the potted plant presumably fell from the ninth floor of HDB block 871 and crashed through the windscreen of a Toyota sedan, damaging the car's dashboard and gearbox.

Additionally, Chinese publication Shin Min Daily News stated the plant belonged to a 78-year old retiree who lives on the ninth floor of the block. It is unclear if the plant had fallen or was thrown by someone.

The police, who were notified of the incident on Sunday around 2:23pm, have classified the case as a rash act. Investigations are ongoing. According to residents the Chinese evening daily spoke to, the police officers reviewed CCTV footage from cameras in the lifts on Sunday, in addition to revealing a similar incident occurred at the block just two months ago.

The incident on Sunday is the latest in a recent series of 'killer litter' cases in the neighbourhood. Just last month, an elderly woman ended up in hospital after she was hit by a bicycle tyre thrown by a 16-year old from a block of flats in Eunos Crescent.
