Toyota suspends sales of the Lexus GX460 due to rollover risk

The magazine added that "in real-world driving, that situation could lead to a rollover accident, which could cause serious injury or death", and urged consumers not to buy a GX460, calling it a "Safety Risk". Toyota initially responded by saying, "Our engineers conducted similar tests during the development of the new GX and had no issues", but later announced that it suspending sales of the GX460.
Mark Templin, Lexus Group Vice President and General Manager, said, "At this time we have asked our dealers to temporarily suspend sales of the 2010 GX 460", and added that Lexus engineers are "vigorously" re-evaluating the GX460 using the same testing methods used by Consumer Reports "to identify how we can make the GX's performance even better."
