Toyota to sell U.S.A-made vehicles in Japan from 2026
30 Dec 2025|202 views
Toyota Motor Corporation has said that it aims to begin introducing three models produced in the U.S.A - the Camry sedan, Highlander SUV, and Tundra pickup truck - to the Japanese market from 2026 onwards.
The brand states that besides meeting the diverse needs of a broad range of customers, this move will also help to improve trade relations between both countries. As part of its preparations, Toyota will also make use of a new system being considered by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism following bilateral negotiations.
This also marks a reintroduction for the Camry and the Highlander in Japan – both models were previously sold in the Japanese market until 2023 and 2007 respectively. The brand will continue making preparations toward delivering these three models to Japanese customers from 2026 onwards.
