Toyota's chief test driver killed in a Lexus LFA

The accident happened along highway 410, near the famed Nurburgring track in Germany. The BMW test drivers survived the crash, with one still in 'critical condition'. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Hiromu Naruse joined Toyota in 1963, and was heavily involved in the development of many of Toyota's sports cars, including the prototype Nurburgring Edition LF-A that he was driving.
Toyota is expected to release an official statement later today.
The Lexus LF-A is a limited edition supercar, powered by a 552 hp V10. Production starts at the end of this year, and there will only be 500 copies built. The Nurburgring Edition is an exclusive option package, and will only be available on 50 LF-A's. Currently, all 500 LF-A's have been sold.
