Authorised BMW dealer Performance Motors Limited has unveiled its newly transformed flagship showroom in Alexandra Road.

The showroom has been transformed in line with BMW Group's latest holistic and progressive approach focused on customer-centricity, flexibility, sustainability and best-in-class premium experience - Retail.Next.

Spanning over 100,000 square feet, Performance Motors Limited's flagship showroom is the largest BMW Retail.Next facility in Singapore. It is envisioned to be the new lifestyle hub for the BMW community here. Mr. Andrew Basham, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors said, "This huge retail transformation will break new frontiers in customer experience from pre-sales to aftersales. It also underscores our commitment to continuously build the BMW brand while delivering premium services to our customers in Singapore."

The BMW Retail.Next facility features a fresh take on the car showroom experience - from the car displays, customer consultation, hospitality area to the merchandise, service areas and lounges, the showroom has been designed to elevate the viewing, purchasing and aftersales journey.

Right in the centre of the showroom's first floor is the main hospitality space that features the biggest bar counter in a dealership in Singapore

At the heart of the showroom is the main hospitality space that features the biggest bar counter in a dealership in Singapore. A 6.5m-high LED screen and a green moss wall creates a serene and comfortable environment. Customers can also order a range of complimentary refreshments here.

The showroom also features a new BMW Luxury Class Lounge with its own bar counter on level 2, where customers can relax while viewing the BMW Luxury Class models. Another dedicated space, M World, can also be found on this floor, featuring an interactive touch screen and a sound zone to immerse customers in the pulsating energy of BMW M models.

On level 3 of the showroom is the Performance Lounge - an exclusive sanctuary for all BMW Luxury Class customers. Suspended over level 2, the lounge overlooks the showroom floor and the view of the greenery outside of the facility's glass facade. There are also five luxurious Handover Lounges where customers can celebrate the delivery of their new cars, with two lounges exclusively designed for BMW Luxury Class and M customers.

Held in conjunction with the grand opening of the transformed showroom was the launch of the updated BMW M3 Competition Sedan and the BMW M3 Competition Touring.

The updated M3s get newly designed LED head lights

On the exterior, the updated pair gets newly designed LED head lights, which bring together low and high beam in a single module. Two elegantly sculpted, subtly arrow-shaped and vertically arranged LED units in each module serve as both daytime driving lights and turn signals. The new cars are also fitted with new M forged light-alloy wheels with axle-specific sizes.

A new three-spoke M leather steering wheel with a flat-bottom stands out within the carbon fibre-filled cabin

Head into the cars and you'll be greeted with a newly designed three-spoke M leather steering wheel with a flat-bottomed rim and precisely modified spokes to complement the sporty cockpit that is filled with carbon fibre pieces and various BMW M accoutrements.

The six-cylinder S58 twin turbo engines put out an extra 20hp in these new M3s

Thanks to an optimised configuration of the digital engine control unit, the six-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo engines in the new M3s now puts out an extra 20hp to achieve a power figure of 523bhp. The result is an even more ferocious and sustained power delivery.

With the upgraded powerplant, the new BMW M3 Competition Sedan with M xDrive accelerates from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, while the new BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive does it in 3.6 seconds.

The Performance Limited BMW Retail.Next showroom is located at 303 Alexandra Road, and operates from 9:00am to 7:00pm, from Monday to Saturday, and from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Sundays.
