Porsche Singapore has unveiled the updated 911 Carrera 4S, which it is offering in three distinct variants: The Carrera 4S Coupe, Carrera 4S Cabriolet, and the Targa 4S. Joining the updated 911 Carrera 4 GTS, Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet, and Carrera 4 GTS Targa, the arrival of the cars will bring the number of all-wheel drive (AWD) variants of the updated 992.2-generation 911 to a total of six.
The new 911 Carrera 4S will adopt the upgraded drive system of the Carrera S, which includes a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine producing 473bhp - or a 30bhp increase from before. Mated to an eight-speed PDK, this allows the Coupe variant to complete the century sprint in 3.3 seconds (with the Sport Chrono Package), and hit a top speed of 308km/h.
The Carrera 4S's standard equipment has also been upgraded as compared to the previous models. This includes staggered 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels for the front and rear respectively with an updated design, rear-wheel steering, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), and a sports exhaust system with a distinctive sound typical of the 911.
Also, while the Cabriolet and Targa are equipped with rear seats, Porsche delivers the Coupe as a two-seater as standard. Fret not, though, if you need to ferry your young ones around on occasion: A rear seat system can be configured at no extra cost.
The new 911 Carrera 4S comes equipped with a leather package for its interior. In addition, matrix LED headlights and wireless smartphone charging are included as part of its standard equipment. Other features include electrically folding exterior mirrors with mirror surround lighting; the Light Design Package; automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors with an integrated rain sensor; and a lane departure warning.
A wide range of other options for individualisation are available on request, including a wide variety of colour and material combinations as well as sound, assistance and roof systems.
It's worth noting too that 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the 911 Targa, which was initially dubbed the 'safety cabriolet' thanks to its motorsport-inspired wide roll bar. The unique drop-top has been available with fully automatic roof mechanisms since 2014, which can be deployed in 19 seconds.
The introduction of the updated 911 Targa 4S now gives drivers the option of two Targas to choose from (the other being the more powerful 911 Targa 4 GTS). The roof module of the current Targa is also available in four colours: Black, blue, red and brown.
All variants of the updated 911 Carrera 4S can be ordered in Singapore now and - at the time of this news - will be priced from $740,888 (excluding COE). Local cars are expected to arrive in the city state by the end of 2025.
